That’s a valid theory. My personal theory is that, according to string theory, gravity is a loop particle, not bound to the P-brane, and thus freely passes between P-branes, casting “gravity shadows” in other universes - so what we see as dark matter is the gravity shadow of all the “nearby” universes.
