Hosting corporate code on GitHub is fine with corporate so it's fine with me.
For personal code, I'm not sure where I want to host. GitLab is worse in my experience. I'm not sure putting it into AWS helps. GitHub kinda wins by default, but even if they're not intentionally scanning private code for their AI I'm not sure that'll always remain true (whether by decision or bug).
For me-only code I can host it on a local Linux PC (or SBC) but is it worth bothering when I'll probably share later?
