I can relate in a way. I had my first corporate gig yesterday. It was the first time I proposed a corporate fee, which is pretty high. It took everything I had to tell the guy my fee, then stay quiet. Part of me wanted to qualify the fee. I wanted to almost apologize for what I considered a high fee. I didn't. I just waited, and he said, after ten seconds that seemed like an eternity, "You have a deal". 😓
