I read a post by a certain Gruber about facebook joining the Fediverse. What struck me most is that for him it is about winning *or* losing. That the Fediverse should become the biggest social thing. That it should come out victorious in a battle between competing platforms.
That’s such a silly, and such a very american way of seeing things, IMO even a barbaric view.
