What specific risks are you concerned with? I imagine it depends on whether you use Alby’s cloud service where they act as the LSP or if you run Alby Hub using your own LND node and managing your own liquidity. If it’s your own node and a channel is force closed, I think your Lightning balance moves to your on-chain LND node balance, less block fees. I believe the subscription based Alby cloud works similarly and from Ben’s video, it looks like you can backup a 12 words seed, so you’re not at risk of being rugged. I’m still learning the basics of node running on Lightning, so I don’t understand all the details on channel management or force closure causes yet. However, the
Alby (npub1get…0nfm) team is super helpful, so I’d recommend sending them a detailed question in a DM, or they may see this and respond here?
