Ugh, MIL bought my kid a book of kid’s version Bible stories and he wanted to read it yesterday. I really didn’t want to, but since he wanted it… I got to the part where god wanted Abraham to “give his son back to god” as the book put it. The Bible said he wanted Abraham to literally sacrifice and kill his own son to prove his loyalty. Don’t sugarcoat this shit, it is some sick, demented stuff they’re trying to pass off as children’s stories. I had to stop reading the book after that. #Atheism
