I thought that saylor (nprofile…3trx) presentation at CF was 🔥. When I look at savvy business people I know I think of that presentation to point them to. It makes absolute sense why Lutnick’s firm would load up on MSTR, he’s a smart guy. That’s an easy one.

My real question is what are the details in HOW Lutnick and whoever else is proposing to monetize the natural resources, places and things owned by the federal government. This is what no one is talking about. I have been to much federal land out in the west and some amazing places in Appalachia, some owned by our federal government.

This monetization of federal land and resources is going to require keen stewardship. I’m cautiously optimistic and do think good stewardship of our resources is the wise move. Managing forests for example takes more than money, it takes knowledge, people and it doesn’t happen quickly.

Back in 2018 I heard of a plan Hilary was involved with that the UN had planned to “develop” by monetizing in some parts of the US. I’m not an environmentalist per se, but privatizing federal land by selling control of it in some way has hidden agenda written all over it.

If my concern is unfounded, I will be pleasantly surprised. But I find it concerning that this administration could include something of this magnitude under a “drill baby drill” or similar plan. This is one to keep an eye on.
