Muay Thai is the pinnacle of exercise for me, albeit not strictly solo.
Like any sport, it requires a blend of strength and cardio but it really exercises and engages the brain, as I expect many martial arts do.
I tend to go into sessions towards the end of the day with worries or stresses about work and general life. Once I've finished, I always come out feeling like a weight has been lifted and everything I've been stressing about isn't as life-or-death as I made it out to be in my own head.
