One thing I've learned is that #mastodon does not recover gracefully from losing access to remotely hosted services or upgrades, even when restarting the mastodon services themselves. I've found it way safer to reboot each time. Mastodon will technically work - but will have trouble posting/saving images until a full reboot of the system. Could be my setup!
