a very important insight for creators and service providers dipping their toes into #value4value .
In growing the v4v model, I wonder to what degree this idea of "generosity that bitcoiners learn to trust over time" is tied to the bitcoin ecosystem and how much is #v4v
+ reciprocity? Are there ways we can shorten these feedback loops?

quoting note1cre…um8pIf you're a provider of a service utilising the value 4 value model, know that you can't easily link your specific actions with zaps.
What I've found is that there's often a big lag between providing value & then receiving the value in return.
Yesterday I received a zap for a V4V BBQ I put on 2 months ago. I only knew it was for that because they wrote it in the zap. That zap made my day yesterday. The longest lag has been about a year & it was a pretty fat zap.
Providing services that have a real cost beyond my time, takes a bit of trust in the universe & bitcoiners. I've not been let down & always seem to get more value than I give. This is partly because I really enjoy cooking meat for people.
Although I don't keep tabs of who does & doesn't pay me, I've gotten to know who the generous Bitcoiners are. People's comments tend to give them away.
I'm very grateful for those generous brothers & sisters. 🙏🫂
