I remember Friendster, which is what everyone used before MySpace. Anyway, it was the first time I made friends who I had never met in real life, and one person was a mutual who would comment back and forth with me on our posts all the time. I had no idea but later found out he was Colin Meloy of The Decemberists. When Friendster died, so did our connection. This has no point other than I am listening to them and thought of it.
