People who are concerned that AI will take over the world as some sort of overlord don't understand AI, at least not in its current form. AI has no grounding in the real world, no basis on which to understand limits, and without limits, no mastery of the material world can truly be manifested.

Bitcoin is different precisely because it has built in limits. As @jack@strike.me explained the other day, BTC has been grounded in time, mining it is based on energy, and the supply is capped. Limits are not inhibitors of value, they are the reason for value.
