We have a serious problem with accountability of adults in this country. Despite the brainwashing they should know better. Otherwise, that implies that the general public isn't capable of rationale thoughts and decision making; something that Hitler claimed as a partial reasoning for instituting a dictatorship.
Maybe that's why the gov has become so totalitarian; US adults are incapable of thinking critically and rationally.
