I actually don’t care if the top tech companies can’t attract top talent through the H1B program, the top American tech companies stopped doing anything socially or economically useful a LONG time ago, it’s probably not a bad idea to stop these malicious actors from sucking up the world’s engineering talent and preventing talented and ambitious folks from doing something actually productive.
