starrett, the combination square and machinist measuring tools company, was already publicly traded which makes things worse over time, right? but now they're getting bought by a private equity firm, so i feel like it's safe to assume their stuff will much more rapidly go to shit, right?
should i splurge on an 18" rule for my combination square, or a pocket square, or something before the vultures ruin their manufacturing?
