Here’s the thing about translations, there’s no centralized library that all the clients are connected to. So, while damus and amethyst may have the ability to translate, you can’t be certain the person on the other end has translation capabilities let alone the same library.

One other thing, if they are sending a message in their native tongue, it’s logical to assume they would like to interact with other native speakers and not translation bots. Just sayin’.

Personally, I just want a switch that shuts out all of the other languages other than my native language, this would obviously reduce communication breakdowns.
