But the main thing here is the space. You can send one sat and consume and arbitrary amount of space. Sending 1 sat to 1000 addresses still has a fixed amount of space per transaction. You can send to as many addresses as you'd like, but each transaction size is in relation to the transaction itself, not the extra bloat that was attached to it.
