The Brill kerning dates back to FontLab Studio 5 and kern2volt, and has since gone through a number of format conversions, extensions, and toolchain changes. I try to maintain a lot of backwards compatibility, so am avoiding moving Brill to a KO workflow; even so, I occasionally introduce breaking changes that affect document reflow.

The kerning still needs to feed into VOLT (now via vfj-to-volt):
