The skull of Old Groaner with bullet holes. Old Groaner was a brown bear that lived for over a decade with five bullets in its head. An eye and part of his jaw was gone, some of the wounds were still infected when he was killed in November 1935 near Unuk River, northeast of Ketchikan.
