You may be uninterested in the plight of influencers (indeed you may regard them as a key indicator of the problems heralded by the new social media economy)... but, of course, you'll be less surprised to learn that for all its newness & modernity, the political economy of working as an influencer looks quite like more 'traditional' sectors... i.e there's a clear ethnic pay-gap!
