I’ve spent hours tonight trying to make #HomeAssistant “Alerts” only go to people who are at home, and I just can’t do it. Well, I _can_ but I’d have to create an alert per person, and some kind of helper to indicate that they should be alerted, with associated automations to turn that on and off. Messy.

I’m just gonna have to use basic notifications from an automation instead. 🙄 I have that working, but I liked the simplicity of Alerts when it comes to repeated alerts while the trigger is still active.

If they’d let us use templates for notify group or in the “notifier” field in Alerts I’d be sorted. 😒
