This story about the Swiss intelligence services doing bulk data collection on Swiss internet traffic seems to be getting less coverage than I would expect.

At the same time, I’m not sure I see it as that big a deal. Perhaps a bit silly of me, but given the implication that this is only passive network interception, and the almost universal use of transport layer encryption, isn’t this really quite a limited exposure?
