Many Black journalists had misgivings about the National Association of Black Journalists' platforming of Donald Trump at their Chicago convention, but the former president certainly did himself no favors with his Q&A session, which started late and was cut short by his team. According to the Hollywood Reporter, his appearance, "immediately went off the rails and saw the candidate repeating lies about his past policy toward Black communities; questioning Vice President Kamala Harris's identity; and again mentioning the idea of 'Black jobs' to a packed ballroom of media professionals."
