But I do somewhat object to the constant trotting out of the trolley problem as an example of some absurd hypothetical that would never occur in real life, or trying to contextualize it as a failure of the system or whatever. Whether it is acceptable to actively harm people (especially innocents) to prevent harm to others is an extremely important ethical issue, and interrogating your moral intuitions about it is not an exercise in useless philosophical navel-gazing
