npub1df6eyr7x6cv4gq99h3rjnhj6f4yqzxa97pxf2ecxeq82ea8mwdyqfgns3a (npub1df6…ns3a) micro payment have been at work all across the global South for several decades now, there is no issue with fractioning a dollar or a euro but technological friction to allow it.
we could have a wallet that transform fiat money into credit and pay with "credit" fraction of value from money/value we actually have.
It's a technical issue not the absence of possibility to do so if we'd wanted it.
bitcoin has middle men's too, I must use one just to get 1 bitcoin for instance.
