The main thing that comes to mind is,
okay, I lived in Japan for a long time. And people over there have a completely different conception of what it's like to be a human being.
Basically, few of them would agree with the assertion that they have these kinds of rights.

It's a very Western idea. It's a meme. I think it's a really good one and I also share that viewpoint. I just don't think that it applies to all human beings.

People also have the right to not have rights I guess lol

I think they're cultural and social, not inherent somehow in the human experience. You and I just personally think that it's a better way to be a human being.

And yeah, we have to fight for them and assert them against those that would infringe on what we consider our personal freedoms.

But it's really just our desire to live the way that we want to live. Not some inherent thing conferred on us by divine authority.
