There's nothing broken, but the load times while transitioning into battles or the main menu from the field bog it down. It's my understanding that the PSN port that release doesn't speed things up, much.
I haven't played the Steam version, but I understand it is much improved over launch (when there were save points which could not be walked into due to placement).
