actually when things have been really grim for me in the past (not now, all good just now) suicidal ideation was the only thing that made me feel calm. It's that weird? I wasn't going to act on it, but knowing there was an exit there somehow made it possible to grit teeth and carry on. There has to be the option, otherwise we're not autonomous beings, we're...hostages...?
