And then there are sports like baseball/softball where I'd argue there are positions that are performed best by those with a lighter build, since not everyone needs to be a home run hitter. So maybe sex segregation shouldn't be enshrined in policy at all and anyone should be allowed into the team based on merit.
A positive side effect is that it tells transphobes to get fucked and lets everyone feel more like they belong.
