I was in rural, redneck Virginia yesterday and the little town main drag had posters and banners up celebrating Pride.

I really don’t think people realize just how miniscule the right wing backlash is relative to the scale of what it’s fighting against. Media, social and otherwise, are giving this hate movement a massively outsized voice. This doesn’t mean we should ignore it, of course, but perhaps we should not be a bunch of megaphones
