Soooo.... the Guardian group seems to be in talks with Tortoise Media about the acquisition of The Observer by Tortoise, in a likely deal that will involve less in the way of cash & more in the way of investment undertakings to safeguard the Sunday paper's future away from GMG.
Tortoise would also seem to be raising cash specifically for this deal & would likely merge newsrooms but keep Tortoise & The Observer separate (at least initially).
