While using the "Default" style, some apps remain dark, e.g. media viewers, in addition to the shell being dark. With "prefer-light", everything becomes light regardless of what the application has configured by default. Up until now, the shell was still dark even with prefer-light, but that has changed now. Prefer-light is not exposed in Settings.
