I decided to try to design and model a bowl so that it used "vase mode" on my 3d printer. Rather than print layers, vase mode prints a continuous outside perimeter. Since it is only about 0.7mm thick the ribbed pattern provides all the bowl's strength. It came out pretty well although there are minute holes at the top of the ribs, vase mode means it doesn't print any flat surfaces after the base. #3dprinting
