Mac os could have technical merits in how the software is designed, but I wouldnt trust a closed source os that receive new closed source updates continuosly, hardly verifiable software that makes also so difficult for the user to customize and run his own way.
This cant be secure for a general pourpose hardware full of sensors, even if the os is in theory desifned to be secure.
Also, as we can expect central banks to print more money when they need, even if for some periods we observe low inflation, we can expect that a totally closed hardware/software supply chain that CAN exploit user in different ways, WILL exploit users in different ways at some points.
Linux desktop kernel and userspaces can have their problems in design and softwares-quality, but the "gran baazar" protect the user from this kind of exploitations.
In linux you have options, you are the master of your pc and you can choose without asking consent. You are free and sovreign.
