- Go into Settings->Google->All Services->SMS Verification Codes, or Settings->Google->All Services->Autofill->SMS Verification Codes (Traverse the menu, don't search "Autofill" that won't find it)

- There are two checkboxes, one for Google Play Services, one for Chrome (I believe this is called "WebOTP"). I had the former disabled already, but I guess the latter can count if an app uses a web view

- Google's documentation is just wrong
