Had another dream that I was out for a walk in the city.
And by "in the city" I mean a paved trail with a mile of flat, grassy plain on either side, and where the skyscrapers are specks against the blue horizon.
These dreams are mostly memories of being fast and free and having tons of stamina, set in places that don't actually exist.
Somewhere along the trail is a building that looks like something out of Utopia Planitia even though it's literally just a train station. Clean, efficient, and full of White people with White people assumptions about life and their own conduct, instead of nonwhites who have the same regard for the civilization around them as they might a dying hooker laying half naked in a gutter.
I don't have to tell you that waking up from that is a disappointment. This is the cost of "our democracy."
