I've tried out some ebikes this week and they all have been fun to ride but also kind of disappointing in various ways - too much bike, often too fast, too many bells and whistles, too expensive.

I basically just want my normal bike, but with some more hill assist. low maintenance and complexity, solid parts that will last awhile, not a bajillion dollars. the market doesn't seem focused on that right now
