It depends on the circumstances. If there is a scarcity of fresh fruit and veg, maybe. I was born in a carnivore household, and I ate a diversity of fresh meat from local farms pretty much every day for 20+ years, but now that I have been a vegetarian also for 20+ years, I cannot even imagine going back. I'd rather eat plain bread and water than eat animal flesh. I have always been fit and healthy, so I've never had any reason to make the change (not even pitty for the animals being killed), just woke up one day feeling disgusted. The people around me still do eat meat and I don't bother them.
