A good example is this: when a woman gets a mammogram she is asked for her race (because genetic, RACIAL factors play into risk of breast cancer), and then EVERY woman is asked if they are of ashkenazi jewish decent. Ashkenazi jews have higher rates of breast cancer than other races because they have a genetic disposition to developing it. They don't ask about Germanic, French, or Norwegian backgrounds, but they do ask about the jews.

There are athiest jews. It's not about converting. They are literally a race.
