The problem with Twitter isn’t that it’s centralized, but that it’s Twitter (in terms of the motivations and reward structures in place there). I’m kind of glad that I’ve found an entirely new set of folks to follow on Mastodon, and that the smaller instances are way better at keeping a particular community feel so far.
