So, Nostr relays notes and other stuff, from one user, to another.
Nostr does not store stuff for users
To store stuff securely, and at scale, for a user, you need subdomains, else they will have XSS vulnerabilities.
That means that users without lower case + 0-9 map cleanly to a subdomain without needing a uniform translation algorithm (which may take years to agree on).
So basically phase 2 of nostr which will be scalable (agentic) micro apps w/ payments. The domains that have constraints will work out-of-the box. The other nip05 providers will have to figure out what to do, and many will probably die.
But this is good, competitive advantages can make good clients better.
