Not defending the cops, because there had to be enough shady shit in their actions for this to go to trial. Butt as written, there's no way it's the whole story. After they found the guy alive, they were still pressuring for a confession? For what? There's no crime for a DA to take to court. Even the most corrupt cops self interest would kick in at some point. There some history between the dude & at least 1 of the cops or something that was left out of this story.
