Just a reminder that Medicare and especially Medicaid are deliberately underfunded by Congress on the mistaken belief that it would force hospitals and physicians to become more efficient, and also out of miserliness.
If we funded them appropriately, fewer hospitals would be closing, and care quality would improve.
