My only question here is who counts as Western feminists. Are they talking about fake feminists tied to wealthy donors and the Democratic Party, e.g. the National Organization for Women? Academic "feminsts" with more of an anti-feminist or "gender studies" mindset?
I don't want to slip into "no true Scotsman" argumentation, but I do think that universities and wealthy non-profits have created a sort of fake, but well-funded, version of many things, including feminism.
