Y’all, I cannot stress enough how insanely damaging this is to the United States as a whole. Not just because we are seeing a brain drain of institutional knowledge that will be impossible to recover, but because why would anyone take a job as low paid and high hassle as a government job if you are subject to the same insane whims of venture capitalists and #techbro #billionaires as public sector?
Government #workers are a breed that really care about what they do. Losing them imperils us all. Not to mention that the govt is the largest employer in the country, jobs that the economy really needs.
