I had mixed success, some still work to this day (I handed those to others without one) most others though generally suffered from failed charging connector's. Given the cost to buy/repair I handed those of for "recycling", though I'm genuinely not sure how "well" that works.

More recently though I decided to break the cycle and buy a Framework 13 - so I could support probably the only Laptop hardware provider that goes out of its way to offer full access to up/down-grades ot every single component. I bought a 12th Gen (not when first released) and over time upgraded the CPU + motherboard, and the display over time.
All of these replaced components sold extremely quickly via eBay. To me, this is the very definition of sustainable hardware production.

As a result I hope that over time, the community around Frameworks devices of many generations - allowing those willing, to contribute to a sustainable ecosystem - which over time will cover a large variety of price points, based on generation etc.
