It nevertheless made me wanting to do more of that, preferably in close proximity. Cycling the Rhine valley downwards or surrounding the Black Forest (Rhine downwards, Neckar upwards and Wutach downwards) maybe. Or down the Rhone valley. Or the Via Aurelia (Gulf of Genova coastline).
