Of course I know nothing about this client, but in any industry 3 day of downtime is bad news. In some, it means the very end.
I hope they have learnt to not trust consultants that sell buzzwords mostly. Sadly for some decision makers is very hard to distinguish the good consultants from the bad ones.
Even more sadly will be this same consultant selling "The Cloud", pointing this incident as proof that having your data in hands of AWS/GOOGLE/MS is a modern way that prevents downtime.
