Seems like you get it. Monero is the single altcoin I can at least see the appeal of, but ultimately privacy can come in L2s and a transparent ledger is essential for base money.
Why not work on some kind of Bitcoin side chain or fedimint product with monero like properties? That would be a very cool project.
