The whole "learn Python to be better at your non-programming job" idea is one I endorse, but is hamstrung by overzealous enterprisey infosec compliance people with a full suite of ISO accreditations who decide that there's no reason at all non-programmers should ever get to have any software on their work computer that isn't either a web browser or an office suite.
Reprogammable general purpose computers are a lot more useful if you let people modify the way they work.
